The Akwa Ibom governor, Pastor Umo Eno has wiped-off reproach from the Civil Service, giving civil servants their pride of place as the engine room of government, which is pivotal for all successful accomplishments in all sectors.
The permanent secretary, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mrs. Grace Akpan, stated this, Monday, in  her office in Uyo, while fielding questions from Update Akwà Ibom Radio of the State Ministry of Information who interviewed her for reactions on the new SUVs presented to serving permanent secretaries recently  by the State governor, Pastor Umo Eno.
Akpan, who expressed deep appreciation to the State governor for the SUVs, said this singular act has taken-off  reproach from permanent secretaries and by extension all civil servants placing the Service on the pinnacle as the fulcrum of all processes of government.
She lauded the exceptional leadership style and compassionate disposition  of  Governor Eno to the welfare of civil servants in Akwa Ibom State and listed some of the numerous feats of Governor Umo Eno to civil servants to include: the ARISE Compassionate estates, ARISE Health Insurance Scheme, 13th month Eno-mber salary, payment of leave grants, and the SUVs to permanent secretaries, among others.
As one of the beneficiaries of the Governor’s benevolence, Mrs.Grace Akpan assured of her unwavering loyalty, dedication, and commitment to supporting the ARISE Agenda development blueprint of Governor Umo Eno-led administration. She also emphasised that the entire civil servants are happy with  the gesture and will rally behind government.
She therefore prayed for God’s blessings upon the governor, his administration, his family, and his future generations.
Akpan’s heartfelt appreciation was evident as she declared, “I am so proud of you, dear governor, I owe you my loyalty anytime. My dear Governor, your generations unborn are blessed for this singular act.”  Her words echoed the sentiments of many civil servants who have benefited from Governor Eno’s policies.
The permanent secre-tary’s commendation is a testament to Governor Eno’s tireless efforts to improving the lives of Akwa Ibom citizens, particularly the civil servants.
