The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has acknowledged with pride and satisfaction, the leadership quality of the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, noting that he has shown Nigeria the model of democracy and governance.
Akpabio, who stated this Sunday, during the 2nd anniversary special thanksgiving service that took place at the International Christian Worship Centre, Uyo, described Governor Eno as a bridge builder whose leadership has defined the Akwa Ibom spirit.
Represented by the senator representing Eket Senatorial District, Senator Ekong Sampson, the Senate President assured Eno of his continued partnership to enable him succeed, while also congratulating him for a successful two years in office.
He stressed the need for unity among the citizens and promised to work closely with Eno to protect the interest of the State.
The minister of state for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Obongemem Ekperikpe Ekpo, described Eno as a man and governor of unity who has taught them to respect the elders and be at peace with each other.
Ekpo highlighted the roles played by Obong Victor Attah, Senator Godswill Akpabio and Mr Udom Emmanuel in the development of the State, recalling that Attah fought for the resource control, Akpabio flooded the State with projects, while Udom Emmanuel also initiated meaningful projects such as the International Christian Worship Centre, venue for the Thanksgiving Service.
