The Akwa Ibom governor has constituted a 13-man project delivery and monitoring teams.
Pastor Umo Eno inaugurated the committee during the valedictory State Executive Council meeting, which took place at Government House, Uyo, Friday, with a mandate to monitor all government projects across the State and ascertaining the level of progress of projects across the three senatorial districts of the State.
The team has Mr Aniefiok Usoro, an engineer, as team lead for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, with Princess Itoro Obot (project team), Mr Ekpedeme Okon Ekpo, an engineer (Ministry of Special Duties), Idongesit Eno Ben, an engineer (Ministry of Works and Fire Service), and Mr Solomon Eyo (media), serving as members.
Eket Senatorial District has Mr Ime Akpan, an engineer, as team lead, with Essien Ndueso (media), Ememobong Nicholas Esq (Delivery Unit), and Joseph Assamudo (Ministry of Works and Fire Service), as members, while the team for Uyo Senatorial District has the senior special assistant to the governor on technical matters, Mr Ubong Linus, as team lead, with Mr Abasiama Akai (Ministry of Works and Fire Service), Isaac Samuel Akpan (Delivery Unit), and Emmanuel Akpabio (media), as members.
While inaugurating the team, Eno said the constitution of the team was borne out of the avowed commitment of his administration to set up delivery and monitoring teams to ensure independent monitoring of projects given out in the three senatorial districts, to ensure timely completion.
According to him, they are expected to provide updates on every projects done by any ministry in the senatorial district allotted them and report accurately to the Executive Assistant and Chief Delivery Advisor to the governor, Mr Aniefiok Udo Johnson.
