As plans for the first anniversary of the Golden Initiative For All, GIFA, gather momentum, the coordinator, Office of the First Lady in Akwa Ibom State has sought the support and cooperation of female stakeholders in the State and the entire women, to ensure the success of the event.
Lady Helen Eno Obareki made the call, Thursday, January 23, 2025, during the January edition of the State Women Prayers, tagged, ‘Greater Glory’, which took place at Government House Banquet Hall, Uyo.
She hinted that the GIFA anniversary will coincide with the posthumous birthday of the First Lady, late Pastor Patience Umo Eno, urging the women to be in readiness to celebrate the life and times of a woman she described as a mother to all.
While asking for support and prayers from the women, Obareki prayed that participants in the service would experience greater glory in their lives and individual endeavours.
Preaching on the topic: “Greater Glory,” with reference to 2nd Corinthians 3:18, Bishop Enobong Essien emphasised that greater glory leads to a deeper experience of God’s presence, intimacy, honour, distinction and favour, serving as a crucial access point for believers.
She shared several principal essentials for achieving greater glory, including yielding to God, cultivating a broken heart, and fully surrendering to Him by seeking His presence through prayers and the study of the Word to ensure spiritual growth.
Essien further elaborated on the pathways to greater glory, highlighting that glory is not a static condition; rather, it represents a continuous journey towards becoming more Christlike.
The January edition of the Akwa Ibom State Women’s Monthly Prayer had intercessory prayers, testimonies, song ministrations and special birthday thanksgiving by January born celebrators.
