Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Et. Jon. Marcus Onobun has hailed the appeal court judgement in the ongoing case over the delegates for the concluded PDP primary elections held in May, 2022.
Onobun said the judgement has brought to light the need for the party to unify and solve issues arising and affecting members of the party.
According to him, “I have always said the issue arising is a family affair as only PDP members can solve its problems, as one united family.
“In any family there must be disputes, but the ability to solve these disputes make the family stronger and more united.”
He appealed to all party faithful across the state to sheath their swords and close ranks as the bigger battle which is the general elections in 2023 is ahead; noting that a divided house cannot stand against external opposition.
He called on all PDP faithful to put all disputes aside and join hands to win the 2023 elections massively from presidency to national and state Assemblies.
The speaker thanked the leaders and delegates for their immense support thus far.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja had earlier ruled that the issue of delegates list is a domestic affair of a party and the courts cannot decide for the party.
