Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Edo North All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial women leader and former commissioner for environment and sustainability in the state, Chief Dame, Omoua Oni-Okpaku, PhD, has resigned from her position.
In the resignation letter dated August 7, 2022 and addressed to the chairman of APC Ward three in Owan West Local Government Area is in tandem with the appointment of AlhajiAbdulganiyu Lawani as the APC director-general of Edo North Senatorial Campaign Organization.
According to Dr Oni Okpaku, she cannot in true conscience work with Abdulganiyu Lawani as the DG of the campaign organization at the senatorial level.
The notable politician pledged her unalloyed loyalty and commitment to the success of the party and promised to do allwithin her means to ensure that APC succeeds.
The former commissioner thanked the leadership of the APC for the opportunity given to her to serve in the capacity and wished the party well.
It will be recalled that Alhaji Abdulganiyu Lawani was onAugust 7, 2022 named as the DG of the Edo North Senatorial Campaign Organization.
