Mrs Helen Eno Obareki

To calm frayed nerves and ensure the smooth running of the Office of the First Lady, the newly appointed senior special assistant to the governor and coordinator, Office of the Wife of Governor, Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Helen Eno Obareki, has met with staff of the office to motivate them to work towards executing planned programmes of the office.
According to Obareki, the meeting was necessary after the shock of the demise of the governor’s wife, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, a staunch supporter of the governor and progenitor of the Golden Boy and the need to reassure the staff and aides that her goals, dreams aspirations and legacies will be kept alive.
“It is with mixed feelings that I come before you, prepared to take up the role superbly discharged by my mother and role model, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, the woman who rose in defence of her Golden Boy and won the hearts of Akwa Ibom people with her staunch and solid support for her husband, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno.
“As I assume this exalted position of SSA to the Governor/Coordinator of this Office, my assignment is simple  –  to support the aspirations of the governor of Akwa Ibom State in ensuring that his vision of a greater future for the people of the State is actualised.
“Please feel free to bring to my notice any ideas that will make your jobs impactful, even as I charge you to be honest, diligent and dedicated to your duties and assigned responsibilities, as well as the ARISE Agenda of His Excellency the Governor”, she stated.
Obareki also assured that the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), the pet project of her late mother, the ARISE Initiative for the Elderly and all the programmes of Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI, will continue in the interest of the continuous well-being of families in the state.
During the meeting, opportunities were given to the staff to share their thoughts and ideas while special prayers were offered for Mrs. Helen Eno Obareki and other members of the first family.
The coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, Mrs. Helen Obareki, who had earlier attended the swearing in of the chairmen and vice chairmen of the 31 local government councils, later joined her father and siblings to receive members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), led by its chairman and governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, who were on a condolence visit to the family at the Hilltop Mansion of Government House, Uyo.
