Leader and chairman of the Coalition, Dr. Aniekan Peter, maintained that the  governor’s revolution in primary healthcare, Akwa Ibom State Health Insurance Agency, Akwa Ibom State Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance Systems (AKISEMSAS), construction of oxygen plants and the construction of a new general hospital at Ukanafun are all laudable feats.

In addition, the CAHSEL chairman appreciated the governor for the approval of allowances, priotising the needs of healthcare practitioners and recognising their remarkable contributions to the society, and approval of the skipping package for health care practitioners in the State, approval for the renovation of hospital, among others, noting that all of these were motivation towards enhancing job efficiency in the health sector.
Peter appealed to the governor to kindly approve salary increment to health workers, approval for skipping policy, payment of 2025 MRTF, introduction of four new allowances and revitalisation of the state molecular diagnostic laboratories, among others, as these would go a long way in improving the quality of healthcare services in Akwa Ibom.
He pledged the support of the Coalition to Governor Eno and the commissioner for health, Dr. Ekem John, who he said is a very committed and hardworking leader and other stakeholders in the health sector in view of their contributions to the growth of the sector.
Other members of the EXCO at the meeting were, Pharm. Abasiama Uwatt, secretary; Mr. Nsikak Udo, vice chairman; Mr. Godwin Archibong, treasurer; Dr. Ethel Essien, PRO and Apostle Ekerette Bassey, among others.
