AKSG To Partner Lekoil For Oil, Gas, Agric Investment

In its quest to invest in the development of the State, the Akwa Ibom government is supporting Lekoil Nigeria Limited, an African focused oil and gas exploration and production company, for oil, gas and agricultural development that would create employment opportunities for youths of the State. 
Pastor Umo Eno, who stated this, Tuesday, during a courtesy call on him by the management of the company at Government House, Uyo, said the State is prepared to give the necessary support to the company with the hope that its investment will help in the development of the State and create employment opportunities for her youths.
Eno said the State will equally be interested in one of the subsidiaries of Cambridge Growth partners, the Cambridge Harvest, whose interest is in sustainable and efficient agricultural practices.
He said the State is really interested in agriculture, which is the lead in the ARISE Agenda, and is willing to maintain partnership that will help actualise the vision of the agenda.
The governor stated that the State has an employment portal that will assist the company to access the different aspects of staff needed for its operation as they set out to take off in the State.
He appreciated Lekoil  for investing in the State and assured that his government will continue to ensure enabling environment for investors.
The chief executive officer of Lekoil, Lekan Akinyanmi, said the visit was to formally introduce the company to the governor, and to make him aware of its investment interest in the State.
Akinyanmi, accompanied by the general manager, Operations, Matthias Akhideno; Gemal Manaher, Legal, Gloria Iroegbunam, general manager, Government Relationship and Communications, Hamilton Esi, general manager, SHES & SCD, Godwin Okeke, and head of C&P, Unwana Etuk, noted that Lekoil is an African focused oil and gas exploration and production company, portfolio company of Cambridge Growth Partners, which also has OakGold, Cambridge LNG, Cambridge Energy, Cambridge Harvest, CGP-1 Fund, and Blink Studios.
He said the company has a good development master plan which ensures development of the host community alongside its investment.
