By Uduak Akai

NSIT UBIUM
The speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly (AKHA) has led members on a  condolence visit to Governor Umo Eno following the untimely demise of  his  beloved wife and first lady of  Akwa Ibom State Pastor Patience Umo Eno.
Elder Udeme Otong expressed deep sadness over the passing of Mrs Eno and prayed for God’s strength and sustenance for the first  Akwa Ibom family.
Otong assured the governor that he  was not alone as the 8th  Assembly remained solidly behind him, during and after this period of grief.
Paying tributes to the late Pastor Patience Eno, the speaker eulogized the late first lady as a role model and mother to all, whose pet project, The Golden Initiative for All (GIFA), positively impacted many lives.
Reacting, Governor Umo Bassey Eno appreciated the Assembly’s love and support, commending their collaborative working relationship.
He pledged to continue working with the 8th Assembly to deliver more democracy dividends to the state.
In company of the speaker were the LEWA president, Deaconess Margaret Otong, all the members of the 8th Assembly and their spouses, clerk of the Assembly, Mrs. NsikakAbasi Orok, among others.
