… Describe His Achievements As Unprecedented

As the Akwa Ibom governor, Pastor Umo Eno, marks two years in office, a cross section of people of the State, groups and institutions have identified with him on his stellar performance thus far.
Some of them in their special messages to the governor poured encomium on the state chief executive officer, describing his achievements as unprecedented.
The rector of the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Dr. Moses Umobong, in a goodwill message said under Eno’s “visionary leadership, the Akwa Ibom Polytechnic and indeed the education sector in the State, has witnessed an unprecedented transformation in line with your ARISE Agenda.
“Through your untiring support, AKWAPOLY today has full accreditation for all the forty-seven academic programmes and thirteen trade and skill programmes leading to the award of Higher National Diploma, National Diploma and National Skill Qualification, (NSQ), during the last accreditation by the National Board for Technical Education, NBTE.”
He prayed God to bless the governor with His wisdom, good health and long life as he continues to move the education sector and Akwa Ibom to greater heights to His glory and benefit of humanity.
The attorney-general and commissioner for justice, Uko Udom Esq., on behalf of staff and management of the Ministry of Justice, said he was glad to join the good people of Akwa Ibom in celebrating the brilliant mid-term score card of the governor in various sectors of the state’s economy.
Udom also congratulated the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on the second anniversary of the commencement of his Presidency.
   “I join fellow Nigerians in commending the leadership strides at the Federal level, geared towards building a safe, secure and prosperous nation,” he said.
The executive chairman of Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, the local government of origin of the governor, Eno, Mr Alfred Charles said, he heartily rejoiced “with our own amiable, dynamic, pragmatic and visionary son, Pastor Umo Eno, on the occasion of his 2nd Anniversary of exceptional achievement in office.”
Charles noted that the governor’s uncompromising stand on rural development, agricultural revolution, infrastructural maintenance, education, healthcare and other sectors of the State’s economy attest to the fact that, “you are sincerely passionate to the growth of Akwa Ibom.”
He said, under the governor’s watch, Akwa Ibom has witnessed sustainable peace and security,” adding, “we are glad to be associated with your passion and vision to transform Akwa Ibom to a destination of choice as demonstrated in the numerous socio-economic developmental programmes dotting the landscape of the State…”
The managing director and chief executive officer of Akwa Ibom Investment Corporation, AKICORP, Imo-Abasi Jacob, in his message, said the governor has “carved a niche for himself as an administrator par excellence, a leader with great vision and passion for the industrialisation and development of our State.
“We celebrate you for demonstrating unequivocal live for Akwa Ibom by taking giant strides to move the State forward, attaining the status of an industrial society. This is evident in the enabling business environment you have created, the strategies for restructuring various State-Owned-Enterprises, SOE, across the State for better productivity and multi-sectoral growth and investment in the strategic sectors, including agriculture, power, aviation, tourism and blue economy.”
The Local Government Service Commission, through it’ chairman, Mr Monday Eyo, stated that it was two years of touching lives of the rural poor citizens of the State, and two years of supporting the entrepreneurial development and massive empowerment of the people, not forgetting “your giant strides so far recorded in the area of solid infrastructure across the 31 local government areas of the State.”
The Commission saluted the governor’s timely intervention in the payments of outstanding gratuities and pensions to its retired workers as well as payment of outstanding leave grants and salaries to serving workers in the unified local government service, among others.
Foremost construction giant in the state, Verini Construction, in its message by management, said since May 29, 2023, when the governor assumed duties, his administration has consolidated the peace and tranquility in the State, with the creation of the Ministry of Internal Security and Waterways.
“His introduction of ‘politics without bitterness,’ stands him out as a unique leader, determined to build a stronger bond of unity. Therefore, under his watch, the people of the State particularly the political class, are now united than ever.
“Through his ARISE Agenda, the State is witnessing more economic and social development, especially, in the area of infrastructural provisions that evenly spread across all sections of the state,” it noted.
