The Akwa Ibom governor has charged newly promoted officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) serving in the State on continued diligence in their service to Nigeria.
Pastor Umo Eno, who gave the charge during the decoration ceremony of the promoted officers serving in Government House, Uyo, appreciated them for their service to the Akwa Ibom government, and for serving the country with dedication and commitment, attributing their elevation to their commitment and dedication to duty.
Eno congratulated them for their promotion to new official ranks, and stressed the need for them to be patriotic in their service, recalling that his father who was a Police officer was not so fortunate like them, as his promotion to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police came while he had gone to the great beyond.
He reaffirmed his commitment to continuously support the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies in the State to maintain peace and security in Akwa Ibom.
The commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Comm, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, applauded the governor for creating time to honour his security aides and decorating them with their new official ranks.
Azare charged them  to double their efforts in service to their fatherland.
