The Peoples Democratic Party candidates for Uyo Federal Constituency and Uyo Senatorial District, Mr Elder Mark Esset and Mr Aniekan Bassey, on October 3, 2022 has received endorsements from the Uyo Cyclist Movement in an elaborate consultative meeting held at Mbiabong park, Uyo.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr. Wisdom Ukpong thanked the lawmakers for being friendly and supportive neighbours over the years and promised total support to the duo to help them achieve record successes in their respective aspirations to the National Assembly.
In his words: “Since you have been good to us over these years, we are ready to return the favour you’ve been showing us during the forthcoming elections.
“We will stand by both of you and ensure you emerge victorious,” he concluded.
The Mbiabong Park chairman, Comrade Akan Edet, thanked the party for building the park and the recently commissioned Idongesit Nkanga-Clement Isong Roads in the area and promised total support to the candidates of the PDP.
In their separate remark, the speaker of Akwa Ibom House of Assembly, Mr Aniekan Bassey and member for Nsit Atai State Constituency, Elder Mark Esset, eulogized the motorcyclists as political gospel carriers and evangelists.
They assured that the newly formed partnership between the candidates and the union will remain even stronger.
Led by its president, the union moved a motion of endorsement on the duo.
