I’ll Work Hard To Support The  Furtherance Of Gov Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda – Umanah

Commissioner-designate, Hon Aniekan Umanah, has reaffirmed his commitment towards the continuous growth of the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno, just as he pledged to bring his wealth of experience to advance the state’s developmental goals.

Umanah, a former member of the House of Representatives and currently the media consultant to Governor Umo Eno, gave this assurance during his screening by the House of Assembly yesterday. 

He pledged to help deepen the narrative of the highly successful ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno in the state. 

“I want to thank Governor Umo Eno for my consideration as a commissioner in his cabinet. I equally thank the Speaker of the House for his support in this whole process.” 

Umanah pledged to his contacts and wherewithal to “support the Governor in the furtherance of the growth ARISE Agenda, which stands on five very solid pillars of agriculture, rural development, infrastructure, security, and education.”. 

The former information commissioner stated that he has the requisite background, experience, and the exposure to bring the right type of value that would help propel the State to become the cynosure of all.

In his reaction, the speaker of the House of Assembly, Elder Udeme Otong, described Hon. Umanah as a seasoned politician and former member of the House of Representatives,  as well as a Commissioner for Information under the administration of ex-governor Godswill Akpabio and former Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Otong said Umanah is well-equipped to drive the state government’s ARISE agenda forward. 

The Speaker of the State Assembly noted that Umanah’s experience as a media consultant to Governor Umo Eno has also given him a deep understanding of the governor’s vision and policies; hence, he’s the right man for the Exco job. 

Otong further posited that as Governor Umo Eno continues to work towards realising his vision for the state, Umanah’s expertise and experience will undoubtedly be an invaluable asset to the realisation of the government’s vision for a prosperous Akwa Ibom. 

The ARISE Agenda of the Umo Eno-led administration is a comprehensive development plan aimed at transforming Akwa Ibom State into a model of good governance and economic prosperity.
